Following the enormous success of the Mubadala F1 Dinner in Barcelona (on behalf of Clean Edge & Silent Associates) our Design Translation team were asked to consider how a strip of Abu Dhabi wasteland could be converted into the most magical setting for the highest profile evening in the Ferrari F1 calendar.
Taking our inspiration from the surrounding architecture of the Yas Links Golf Club, and working closely with Phil Grief (Technical Director at Silent Associates) we developed a concept for a temporary building that would house not only the dinner, but a also the cocktail reception, after dinner drinks and all related infrastructure.
The building would be constructed to be enjoyed for a single evening - with world class food and drink, exquistite surroundings and impeccable service.
The Special Project Solutions design team produced an entire 3D model of the space, detailed down to the tiling on the tower roofs & islamic parapet detail. This model then allowed us to generate the line images and sketches you see here which were used to support the proposal to the client, along with detailed ground plans and topography studies.
